Will Google Release Chrome Netbooks Next Year?

Well, this is the question on everyone’s mind this week as reports have surfaced that Google might just release its own Chrome netbook early next year. We all know that the Chrome browser has proved to be very successful so now Google would want to extend its roots. With the Chrome browser, Google has just been competing with Internet Explorer from Microsoft and Firefox from Mozilla, but launching its own Chrome operating system will put Google into a whole new level of competition.
A renowned online technology magazine has reported that Google will soon launch a new range of branded netbooks that will be powered by its Chrome OS. As it has stated the new line will feature branded netbooks, it definitely means that its hardware will be manufactured by a third-party.
As far as the reports go, two netbooks are ready that Google will unveil soon. We found out these Chrome-equipped Netbooks are codenamed ‘Mario’ and ‘Andretti’. For now, it has been said that Google is testing the Chrome operating system on several branded notebooks such as Asus, Dell, and Lenovo. Stay tuned for more updates.
