Sylvania GNET13001 is an ultraportable laptop with 7” WVGA TFT active matrix display. It is powered by C7-M 1.2 GHz and pre-installed with Linux operating system. It is aimed for home use and education purposes.

The notebook is aimed for new-entry notebook user that looking for low-cost notebook to cater everyday needs. It is designed for people who need to consume data via the internet. It is easy to take with whether it’s around the house, the campus or wherever one might travel. Also, it offers significant performance capabilities to wander the Internet and take care of basic productivity applications.

It enables one to view the Internet in full screen without compromise in a clear and comfortable display. In addition, it offers maximum storage capacity for everything you download from the web. It also provides maximum system performance for basic web browsing and limited system functionality. This notebook enhances system performance without adding unnecessary system overhead and provides a great balance of price and performance.
Sylvania GNET13001 offers ultra light portability allowing user to bring it almost anywhere for computing purpose. With wireless internet connectivity, user can take advantage of the function and access to internet to shop online or even browse websites. It utilizes gOS’s innovative operating system, which offers a digital lifestyle solution and keeps user connected to the internet and mobile. Moreover, it uses Google and Web 2.0, the Linux-based software provides a robust and diverse set of applications simple enough for users to dive right in. It also lets user to access Google applications to optimize productivity with office tools, email, and web-linked favorites like Myspace and YouTube.
Besides that, it lets user to save and store data and media in its integrated 30GB EIDE. User enables to save media, data and files such as movies, documents, music and videos. With the entertainment applications, user can enjoy watching movies and listen to music while on-the-go.
The netbook is equipped with integrated video camera built above the LCD. Additionally, it is also built with integrated microphone. It supports most of instant messaging services such as MSN Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger and Gtalk. Therefore, user can upgrade from just text messaging to video conferencing and get in touch with family and friends closely and feel like they are talking just in-front.
Additionally, it is also built with a 4-in-1 flash card reader lets user instantly access music, photos and videos stored on four different types of memory card. For storage, it is built with 30 GB EIDE. It is integrated with 7” WVGA TFT active matrix display with resolution of 800 x 480. Additionally, it utilizes Linux operating system. Its graphic is supported by UniChrome Pro IGP. For audio, it provides headphones, sound card, speaker and Line-out. It is also integrated with 3.5mm jack and built-in microphone. Expansions ports available include two USB 2.0 ports, RJ-45 (NIC), and DVI (Digital Video Interface) ports. It is also built with an integrated video camera and a 4-in-1 card reader. For networking, it features integrated 10/100 Network Card and wireless LAN. It supports multiple data link protocol including Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Hi-Speed USB, IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g.

Furthermore, it is equipped with Lithium-ion battery that allows up to 4 hours of operation time. It measures 9.1 x 6.7 x 1.2 inches (W x D x H) in dimension and weighs 1.87 lbs. It is designed in black color exterior and interior.
