Samsung launches eReader

Samsung has recently launched its new eReader. The new eReader was first unveiled at the CES event back in January this year and now we have more details on this Samsung device. Samsung said that the launch of their new eReader also marks a new partnership with Barnes & Noble. This makes us think about the Apple iPad that comes with an eReader app installed in it. Anyways, back to Samsung, this new eReader of theirs will allow its users to make notes in the margins of e-book pages through the use of a special electromagnetic resonance (EMR) stylus pen.

They can also modify the electronic pages by underlining words. Samsung claim that the new eReader users can use built-in voice recording functionality to produce audio memos and annotations. The device can also read text aloud but this function only works with electronic books that support text-to-speech (TTS) technology. The Samsung eReader was launched at an event where Samsung also launched 3D TVs, and a 3D Blu-ray player. The Samsung eReader will be available for $299, it offers 26GB of internal memory, and there’s an external Micro SD slot that supports up to 16 GB.
