Some time back, we reported that Asus unveiled a couple of their new netbooks at the CeBIT event last month and now the most talked about model, the Eee PC 1018P has been spotted with a few details revealed and leaked.
For starters, the netbook comes with USB 3.0 ports and is 18mm thick. The device comes equipped with Pine Trail Atom N455 and N475 processors. Not forgetting Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 3.0 connectivity. Asus claims that the netbook has a long lasting battery life of 10 hours. The 1018P comes with a brushed aluminum chassis and measures 18mm thick. On one side, we can see the bright blue USB 3.0 ports and next to those is the Ethernet port.
It was mentioned at the CeBIT event that the netbook would have integrated 3G but Asus has yet to confirm whether it’s true. The netbook will come with about 1-2GB of RAM and a 250GB to 500GB hard-drive. It will also come with a 10.1-inch display that features a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Other features include WiFi b/g/n together with Bluetooth 2.1+EDR (3.0 is optional). Since these are just leaked details, Asus has yet to comment on the price and release date of this product.
