Jun 14, 2010 Netbooks

We all know that Asus is the inventor of netbooks. Hypothetically, without the brand, netbooks wouldn’t exist today. At the beginning, every single one of their release was the most anticipated model in the netbook’s market. Then other top brands started their own line of netbooks which many would say posed danger to Asus’ status in the market. Asus struggled and managed to still be among the top netbook’s manufacturers in the market today.
Speaking on Asus, the brand recently unveiled their new Eee PC 1201K. Coming in a Seashell design which is somehow the usual style of the Eee PC netbooks, the special feature of this netbook is its AMD chip. Usually, we find that Asus prefers the likes of Intel’s Atom processor but for this model, they chose the AMD Geode NX 1750 processor with a SiS 741GX/966L chipset.
Moving on, the netbook also comes with a 320GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM. Other features include a 0.3MP webcam and a built-in card reader. Not forgetting the 12.1-inch LED backlit WXGA display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Asus has yet to announce the price and release date of the Eee PC 1201K.
