Asus now wants Google Android, not Windows
Aug 2, 2010 Netbooks

Good news for Google Android but bad news for Windows as Asus has decided on choosing the Google Android platform instead of Windows. Asus was reported to have decided on Google Android instead of Windows for its upcoming EP101TC tablet computer.
It was also reported that all’s not well with Windows as Microsoft was counting on the Asus’ tablet to make things better for it. On the other hand, Microsoft decided not to go ahead with its own tablet, Courier back then in April. For now, several other brands notably Apple is ruling the world with its iPad since its release.
Asustek Computer was reported to have wanted Microsoft’s put in its new tablet since all of the brand’s netbooks work on Windows. But instead, Asus decided to pick Google Android over Microsoft in a bid to give the search engine provider a chance in the tablet’s market. The new Asus tablet will be launched either at the end of this year or early next year.
