Another award for Asus netbook

Seems that Asus is having all the luck in the awards’ area recently. Starting off in April, where the renowned brand grabbed awards and now we are hearing that Asus has grabbed itself another award but this time, it’s for an unreleased netbook. This news is astonishing to some as the brand itself has never formally announced the availability of this netbook. It was merely a rumor before but now since it has won an award, this does prove its existence.

The Asus Eee PC 1218 has won a Red Dot product design award. Unfortunately, publicly there were no information submitted by the brand about this product but online experts managed to make the most of it by judging the model number and the images of the device. It is said that the netbook comes with a 12-inch display and it is covered by a plastic chassis. From the pictures, it seems that the Eee PC 1218 is the thinnest netbook from Asus. The netbook offers its video and data ports on the back edge of the netbook. Well, until Asus officially releases more details, we’ll keep you updated.
