Acer unveils Aspire One D255

Acer has showed off a new netbook that can apparently run for eight hours straight after a single charge. Now Acer is singling out the “battery” factor as it is a known fact that netbooks don’t come with enough battery life. Acer is hoping to change that with its Aspire One D255.

Acer’s latest ultraportable laptop has been made thin and light, despite its long lasting battery life. It weighs 1.25kg and measures 24mm thick. This netbook is powered by a dual-core Intel Atom processor N550. The latter helps the device to have a longer lasting battery life and it also supports DDR3 memory.

The Acer Aspire One D255 netbook is equipped with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 and supports Microsoft DirectX 9. It comes with a 250GB HDD. It has a built-in multi-in-one card reader. It is equipped with several connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Fast Ethernet or optional 3G and optional Bluetooth 3.0+HS.
