The Acer Computer AOA110-1722 provides portable performance to full Internet browsing, communicate with friends and family and utilize a variety of entertainment in a small portable design that keeps users connected on-the-go.
The netbook is powered by the 1.6 GHz Intel Core Solo (512KB L2 cache, 533MHz FSB), and supports an 8.9 inch WSVGA with CrystalBrite Technology display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. The Acer Computer AOA110-1722 comes pre-installed with Linpus Linux Lite with OpenOffice 2.3 that lets users surf the Internet, edit documents and photos, read email, and use the webcam to chat online with or take still photos. It has an integrated webcam, and 3-cell battery with up to 2.5 hours of use, 8GB NAND flash memory via its solid state drive (SSD), multi-in-one card reader, SD Card reader, 1 GB (512 DDR2 (PC2-4200) RAM, 54g Wi-Fi LAN (802.11 b/g); 10 / 100 Ethernet; Intel GMA 950 graphics and supports connectivity via 3 USB, 1 headphone, 1 microphone, Secure Digital slot, multi-format memory card slot (that supports Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO and xD-Picture Card), and VGA monitor output. The Acer Computer AOA110-1722 measures 9.8 (W) x 6.7 (D) x 1.14 (H) inch and weighs 4.75 pounds.

The Acer Computer AOA110-1722 does not come with an integrated optical drive, but optional CD / DVD read / write drives can be connected to the laptop via one of the three USB ports, enabling users to create music mixes, burn movies to DVD, and more. This 1.6 GHz Core Solo processor also includes a power-optimized front side bus of 533MHz for faster data transfer on demanding mobile applications and a 512KB L2 cache (which temporarily stores data). The Acer Computer AOA110-1722 notebook also features an integrated 54 g wireless LAN (Acer InviLink) that’s compatible with 802.11b and 802.11g networks and offers Acer’s SignalUp technology for antenna efficiency. The Acer Computer AOA110-1722 has connections such as USB 2.0 ports for connecting a wide range of peripherals – from digital cameras to MP3 players; Secure Digital (SD) card reader, also compatible with MultiMedia cards (MMCs). It is supported by Linpus Linux Lite which lets users surf the Internet, edit documents and photos, read email, and use the webcam to chat online with or take still photos. The Aspire One comes with 8GB of NAND flash memory solid-state drive (SSD), adequate for a laptop primarily users as an email and web surfing device. The flash memory provides a quick boot-up and access to applications and has no moving parts. Since data is written to stationary flash memory instead of a spinning hard disk, users have less risk of hardware problems with the hard disk when on the move. It’s a feature for a travel notebook where knocks and sudden movements are par for the course. This Aspire One comes with an 8GB Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) memory card for storing digital media. The Aspire One has one SD memory card slot for the included SDHC card as well as a second multi-in-one card reader that’s compatible with five different types of memory cards and integrates with the internal NAND flash module as an added storage device. The ability to have both a multi-in-1 card reader and a SD card reader at the same time allows users to download photos from the multi-in-1 to share with others and store to the SD card as an internal storage device simultaneously. The 1GB RAM can be expanded to a maximum of 1.5GB of RAM. The Acer Computer AOA110-1722 also supports a 8.9 inch diagonal WSVGA (1024 x 600) CrystalBrite TFT LCD display with an integrated 0.3 Crystal Eye Webcam that allows users to chat online, and has graphics support via the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950. The Acer’s CrystalBrite display technology that prevents the diffusion of surrounding light and internal ray and is able to read color coordinates accurately, minimizing distortion and creating high-fidelity colors in all environments. The Acer Computer AOA110-1722 also has built-in stereo speakers, 10 / 100 Ethernet LAN, and supports interface like 3 x USB 2.0, headphone / speaker / line-out, microphone-in, VGA, and RJ-45 (LAN). The netbook measures 9.8 x 6.7 x 1.14 inch and weighs approximately 2.19 pounds.
