The Acer Aspire One AOA150-1784 is a full function laptop in sapphire blue with 8.9 inch WSVGA with CrystalBrite Technology display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, integrated webcam, and 3-cell battery with up to 2.5-hours of use.
The netbook is supported by a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor (533 MHz), with 160 GB Serial ATA hard disk drive and 1 GB RAM (2 GB max) DDR2 SDRAM. The netbook has 54g Wi-Fi LAN (802.11 b/g) and 10 / 100 Ethernet connectivity, Intel GMA 950 graphics accelerator, 3 USB, 1 headphone, 1 microphone, Secure Digital slot, multi-format memory card slot, and VGA monitor output interface. It comes pre-installed with Windows XP Home operating system and comes with a mouse. The Acer Aspire One AOA150-1784 measures 6.7 x 9.8 x 1.42 inch and weighs 2.44 pounds.
The Acer Aspire One AOA150-1784 is a netbook that weighs just over 2 pounds and is a traveling companion that lets users take the Internet on the road, providing portable performance to enjoy full Internet browsing, communication with friends and family and a variety of entertainment in a small portable design that keeps users connected on-the-go. The 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor uses a brand new design structure new hafnium-infused circuitry, which reduces electrical current leakage in transistors to conserve energy and gives you more time away from the wall outlet, with up to 2.5 hours with the included 3-cell battery. The Intel Atom processor uses a brand new design structure that packs in 47 million transistors into a single chip sized at just 22mm (0.87 inches), and it uses just 2.5 watts of power, which is less than 1/10 of the 35 watts used by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. This 1.6 GHz Atom N270 processor also includes a power-optimized front side bus of 533 MHz for faster data transfer on demanding mobile applications and a 512 KB L2 cache (which temporarily stores data). The netbook provides on-line access with 802.11 b/g Wireless to explore the Internet and view photos, video clips and listen to music through its Acer CrystalBrite display. Acer Aspire One AOA150-1784 comes pre-installed with Windows XP Home Edition that lets users surf the Internet, edit documents and photos, read email, and online chat via the webcam or take still photos. Users can store all of digital albums, music libraries and documents on the high-speed 160 GB hard drive (5400 RPM), which offers room to hold a digital audio library with room left over for movies, games, and a large collection of software. This Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive also provides high speed transfer of data, akin to Firewire and USB 2.0. It is also upgradeable with storage through an external SD card. The Acer’s CrystalBrite display technology prevent diffusion of surrounding light and internal ray, so that it can read color coordinates accurately, minimize distortion and create high-fidelity colors in all environments. The Acer Aspire One AOA150-1784 includes an integrated audio card with Microsoft DirectSound compatibility, and it includes two stereo speakers. The Acer Aspire One notebook PC AOA150-1784 comes with a rechargeable 3-cell lithium-ion battery, AC adapter, and operating instructions. It is backed by a limited warranty for parts and labor for one year from date of purchase.
