The Acer Aspire One AOA150-1165 is a 10.1-inch WSVGA display with CrystalBrite Technology and a maximum resolution of 1024 x 600 netbook that is powered by the 1.6GHz Intel® Atom™ N270 Processor/533 Mhz that allows users to explore the Internet and stay connected while mobile. The netbook is supported by a 6-cell battery that provides up to 6 1/2 hours of battery life for extended use and productivity when away from an AC outlet.
It comes pre-installed with Windows XP Home with SP3 that gives users the freedom to do what they want at home and at work, has 160GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (5400 RPM) and 1GB RAM memory capacity. The netbook features an integrated Crystal Eye Webcam, while graphics is supported by an Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950, built-in stereo speakers, Acer InviLink, 802.11b/g Wireless connectivity, 10/100 Ethernet LAN, multi-in-1 Card Reader for SD, MMC, RS-MMC, MS, MS Pro, and xD, 3 x USB2.0, headphone/speaker/line-out, microphone-in, VGA and RJ-45 (LAN). The netbook measures 10.2 x 7.28 x 1.31 inch and weighs 2.95 pounds.
The Acer Aspire One AOA150-1165 is a netbook that features a 10.1-inch Acer CrystalBrite display with an Intel Atom processor that’ll give users computing and 802.11G wireless that delivers on-the-go Internet experience. It allows users to work up to 5-hours with the 6-Cell battery for extended use and productivity when away from an AC outlet. The netbook also features a 160GB hard drive that provides capacity to store digital albums, videos, music and documents. Storage can be upgrades by popping in an external SD card. This also allows users to to transfer information between two computers. Weighing just under 3 pounds, the Aspire one Netbook is the traveling companion to browse the Internet, check email, share photos, video conference with built-in webcam, check sport scores, watch videos, listen to music and a variety of entertainment in a small compact portable design. It is designed especially for mobile devices with the 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor using a design structure called hafnium-infused circuitry that reduces electrical current leakage in transistors to conserve energy. The processor uses a design structure that packs in 47 million transistors into a single chip sized at 22mm and uses 2.5watts of power which is less than 1/10 of the 35 watts used by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor for optimal battery management. This processor also includes a power-optimized front side bus of 533MHz for data transfer on demanding mobile applications and a 512KB L2 cache (which temporarily stores data). The netbook is built with a deep blue chassis, accented with details such as an orange hinge ring. Users will be able to video chat wherever they roam thanks to the Crystal Eye webcam integrated into the LCD’s bezel, delivering video streaming and images in low-light situations. Other features are built-in digital microphone provides voice audibility, keeping background noise level low and minimizing echoes; 160GB hard drive (5400 RPM) for storing a mobile digital audio and video library which offers room to hold a digital audio library of and movies, games, and a large collection of software. This Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive also features high speed transfer of data akin to Firewire and USB 2.0; 1 GB of installed RAM (512MB onboard memory and one 512MB DIMM, 533 MHz) can be expanded to a maximum of 1.5GB maximum); 54g Wi-Fi networking (802.11b/g), multi-format memory card reader, USB ports, and built-in email, web browsing, and digital media applications. It comes with the Microsoft Windows XP Home operating system, which incorporates Windows Live features like Windows Live Messenger for instant messaging and Windows Live Mail for consolidated email accounts on the desktop. The 10.1-inch screen has a WSVGA resolution (1024 x 600) and support for up a 262K color depth. Video is powered by the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, which uses shared video memory with the main memory. Acer’s CrystalBrite display technology prevents the diffusion of surrounding light and internal ray. Compared to normal TFT LCDs, Acer CrystalBrite technology reads color coordinates accurately and minimizes distortion, creating high-fidelity colors in all environments. This notebook includes an integrated audio card with Microsoft DirectSound compatibility, and it includes two stereo speakers. The Aspire One does not come with an integrated optical drive, but optional CD/DVD read/write drives can be connected to the laptop via one of the three USB ports, enabling you to create your music mixes, burn movies to DVD, and more. It comes pre-installed with Acer eRecovery Management; Acer Launch Manager; Adobe REader; McAfee Internet Security Suite; and Microsoft Office 2007 (Trial). It comes with a rechargeable 6-cell lithium-ion battery (that provides up to 5-hours of battery life), AC adapter, and operating instructions. It is backed by a limited warranty for parts and labor for one year from date of purchase.
