No More Netbooks from Acer & Asus

Interesting news indeed today doing the rounds, reports are claiming that two big names in the netbooks industry will not be releasing anymore netbooks until they have managed to clear out their inventory first. The reason? This might be due to the fact that these two netbook manufacturers want the old versions to be sold out before the new Atom N550 processor is released. The Atom N550 processor is set to be released in Q3 of this year.

Acer and Asus have stopped netbooks releases until the middle of next month which is August. This is a good way to ensure the remaining netbooks in the market are all sold out before the new machine kicks in. The new Intel dual-core Atom N550 processor is set to make netbooks faster and function better thus making them powerful devices.

Further sources add that the no releases from these brands might be that the new processor costs $11 to $22 more than the current processor that these brands are equipped with.
